Artificial intelligence’s(AI) fast development is focused on the search for the implementation of the technology for the benefit of human health in every respect: for the patients, doctors and institutions.Undivided attention to the field of health requires the basic knowledge of the major concepts and approaches, best practice and negative effects to be avoided. High expectation of the AI in health require deep research into the nature of human understanding of the technology and machine in general as far as this is the way to understand modern competitive policies in the field.

This course suggests approaches to understanding the modern concepts of health and illness, functioning of the modern health institutions and common challenges that face any health care system. Promises of the implementation of the AI solutions in health range from the understanding of AI as technology to the new requirement to the health professionals, their education, health care institutions and even modern patients. At the same time medical AI requires more attention from the point of view of all stakeholders. The course provides a strong background for the evaluation of AI technologies in health, explains the current trends and limitations of the field, understanding of the current results and typical barriers to med AI implementation.
